WP ARKONA

The Arkona was employed as an ocean-going boat by the marine rescue service of the former GDR (East Germany). The vessel was built at the Polish Wisla dockyard in 1974 as sister-ship of the Halny series. In 1992 the German Association for the Rescue of the Shipwrecked (DGzRS) accepted sea rescue responsibility for the entire Baltic region, and introduced modern cruisers to the fleet; at this point the Arkona was transferred to the Polish rescue service. This model represents the state of the vessel in its final years of service. The Arkona expands the unique GRAUPNER PREMIUM line - a range of extremely high-quality ready-made model boats. To achieve this elevated quality the boat's hull is molded in strong GRP, while the superstructure consists of laser-cut wooden and ABS parts. The model also features a large number of small metal items, all ready-made and factory-installed. The hull, superstructure components, mast and fittings feature a sprayed finish using silk-matt paints, and the many detail features and fittings give the model a particularly interesting appearance. Installation of the RC components is a fast, straightforward task thanks to the generous deck opening. To prepare the model ready for running all you have to do is install the RC system components and the drive battery; complete a small number of soldered joints, and the boat is ready for the water. The illustrations show the prototype model; we reserve the right to introduce modifications in the later production version.

Operating instructions with RC notes in German, English and French. Factory-assembled model with two electric motors, boat stand, small items.
